MUSIC / ARTIST RECORDING
We pride ourselves in being able to manage the requirements of artists in all stages of their musical career. Whether you’re after something live and raw or a more polished production we will work with you to get the result that you want. We’ve worked with all sorts of groups and individuals, recording instruments from ukulele and violin to marimba and a steel band, but we’re equally as happy if it’s just you and a backing track.
Whether you’re ready to make your first ever recording, got your first album deal in the bag or need assistance with mixing and final production; Cream Room Sound Productions can provide you with the service to suit your needs.
The Cream Room is situated in Dane End, Hertfordshire, just 10 minutes from the A10 and around 45 minutes from central London. We are also within easy reach of nearby Stevenage, Hertford and Ware.
Our large live room has plenty of space for most band set ups (although full orchestra would probably be too much of a squeeze); is bright, spacious and delivers fantastic sound for solo and group performance, with acoustic instruments and drums given plenty of room to ‘breathe’.
The studio can be hired for rehearsals, workshops and events.
The Cream Room Recording Studio was built in 1998 by a small but eager group of like minded individuals. The premises on Home Farm in Dane End were designed and built from scratch – with even the hinges on the doors specifically designed for the purpose.
As it was believed that the building had formerly been used as the milking shed for the cattle herd; ‘The Cream Room’ was a natural choice for a name. It later transpired that this location had been where pregnant cows were brought to give birth to their young – which, had this been known, may have resulted in a very different name. But it’s good to know that the process of creation has always been a part of the building’s history.
The studio has seen visits from talented, creative, inspirational, occasionally deluded but always determined staff, customers, individuals, groups and businesses. We are grateful you all of our customers; past, present and future. You are all a part of our journey and we’d love to see you again.
Pop in for a cuppa if you’re passing by. The kettle’s on.
