New Music Production at The Cream Room

 In Music, News

It’s been a busy week of recording and music production sessions.  Firstly Ben Simmons – singer / songwriter based in St Albans working on a brand new track with Lauren.  We’d already worked on the structure and arrangement in a previous session, last week concentrated on vocal performance and adding some texture to the backing track.  We’ve been mixing this week, results should be with you all soon.

At the weekend we had one of our (fairly) regular Sunday Live Sessions.  We had Hertford based band Breakers in the studio to record 3 of their own tracks.  The band have been working on studio material but relished the opportunity to capture some of their live energy on to tape.  We also shot a bit of amateur video so some serious editing work to do over the next few days to make it worthy of the audio recordings.

Finally, it was fantastic to have a return visit from the Bishop Stortford boys Parkside working on a follow up EP to last year’s successful Early Days sessions.  I’d taken the opportunity to catch the boys live in Hoxton Square on Saturday night to hear their latest material and it was great to have them in just a couple of days later to record the new set.  It was a relaxed session, largely down to that fact that the guys had clearly routined their songs ready for the studio and knew exactly what they were aiming for.  We’ll be mixing the session over the next few days so should not be long before you’ll have a brand new selection of songs to thrill your earbuds.

Oh, and it was great to welcome Alex Bayly to the #creamteam for the Parkside sessions – good to have another fantastic engineer on board.
